    Windows 11 help

I am increasingly annoyed at Microsoft's last move to take over my computer----it inserts "edge" at will to open web pages---I have no interest in them deciding what software I use for what application.

I have done all the found solutions---and no luck. Does anyone have a working solution?

Sorry, I chose not to be bullied by Microsoft and I remain on Win7. When I decide to upgrade, it will be to some flavor of Linux, at which time Microsoft will be in my rear view mirror.

Tried to remove it - failed. So, I ignore the icon (ditto for Copilot).

I cannot do that. I still do some work for past clients and some of my software (primarily AutoCAD) forces me to not only run windows but it forces me to upgrade. While theoretically those programs might run on Linux or et al, it is a risk I am loath to take. The fact that I often share files with others makes me even more reluctant.

Fixed---my IT guy was here yesterday and I whined to him about it---he made me better!

It seems Microsoft got sued for unfair trade practices---again---and now there is a switch

I had little choice and made the upgrade a few years ago. Overall it has been okay
