just about ready to hit the road

Kayaks are on the trailer, Camper propane and water tanks are full, full tank of Diesel and new oil in the truck, and I just checked the truck and trailer tire pressures.

3 days at lake Amador doing nothing but kayak fishing, beer drinking and bull****ting with a buddy. The wives declined the invite.

We have two RV sites right on the water. On the fishing map we are on the tip of the point that leads into the Carson Arm. The lake is 400 acres

Taking a look at Lake Amador online linked to some pics of huge fish pulled out of it. A few of 'em looked big enough to pull a kayak a league or two.

Enjoy and have a safe trip.

    Party on..

We are right behind you.. taking the camper to Winnebago in Forrest City Iowa for some routine maintenance, recalking the roof.. Winnebago factory does much better work than our local shops..

Unknown to us.. spring doesn’t arrive in the northern Midwest until April 15.. most campgrounds are not open until 4-15 and if open, water and bathhouses are closed.. because of the lack of facilities, we are taking the Ohio Turnpike (normally avoided because it almost requires use of Pennsylvania Turnpike (a $$$ sucking section of bad, bad road) to get there.. but.. Ohio Turnpike has RV parking, with electricity, water fill and dump stations for $20.00.. also access to “truckers lounge” that has showers..

Your adventure sounds like more fun..

Wow! That heavy-assed camper warped your truck!

It was obviously overloaded to the port side with ballast to allow for the horsie hotel normally riding aft instead of the lightweight kayak carrier...Readjust the ice chest full of non-alcoholic beer and the flimsy Ford sheetmetal may straighten itself out......Ben
