This boy's parents should have found

    ....another way to entertain themselves

We see people do a lot of stupid things in their cars, especially in this age of social media. So when we first saw the story from Clermont Police Department out of Florida about a guy who was speeding while standing through the sunroof in his car, recording the stunt on his cellphone, we naturally assumed he was doing it all for TikTok or Instagram.
While we are talking about potential Darwin award winners----here is another contestant.

Some people’s egos are just so large they can’t help but brag, even if that means giving the police additional evidence of their crimes. That seems to be the case with a 20-year-old Mustang driver in Indiana after he boasted to police about hitting 170 mph during a chase once he had been caught.
Before that, police knew he had been going well over 100 mph, reports Fox 59, but he just went ahead and volunteered that information without even being compelled. Now that’s impressively dumb.

Police say Ellis was going 77 mph in a 45 mph zone in the area of HWY 27 and Hooks Street. To be going that fast, even in a 75 mph zone, and not only take your feet off the pedals and your hands off the steering wheel, but to stand on the seat and up through the sunroof is one of the dumbest things we’ve ever heard about. And that’s really saying something.
Apparently his cruise control was operating as it should...He was probably just testing it before a road trip - you know, out of safety concerns for fellow motorists......Ben

Whatever happened to speed limiters? My Super Duties are clocked out at about 97 mph. For what ever reason, I have never tested any of my cars

When I still had fast cars I simply could not afford to see where the top was----no driver's license----no income
