    Yeah, the Challenger disaster was a wake up call for Morton Thiocol and NASA. For whatever reason, a civilian death held much more sway than dead astronauts.

    My Father In Law was one of the MT engineers who tried to stop the launch, but was overruled by his boss and NASA. It took a few years for him to get over it. But, the easy going style of his was replaced by cynicism.
