    Mildred Fish-Harnack...

    When Fish-Harnack was guillotined on Feb. 16, 1943, she became the only American killed on a direct order from the German dictator.
    Now that's dedication to a cause...I have read much of the Red Orchestra in recent years......Ben

    This is all new information to me. Yet, I like the way it puts real faces and lives together for us to observe

    It's amazing how many people tried to bury information spreading about the participant's heroic efforts because they were tied to Communism. What matters is they were against Fascism. Hence, the enemy of our enemy is our friend.

    As an aside, the guillotine was the state approved method of execution in Hitler's Germany...It's still the most foolproof and painless method of commonly used execution methods I can think of...Way too messy though......Ben
