Wowzers.. we have draft dodgers (Kaisers army didn’t have a length of conscription)…. And fleeing from the law, just walked off of the boat after customs..

I was # 327 in the first draft lottery.. read that tidbit of info gathered around a newspaper at 0600 in a Navy Chow Hall..I was a draft dodger too...I beat conscription with my draft papers in hand when I enlisted in the USAF...
Great Grandfather and four brothers were from the “Baja Netherlands “ area of Germany.. when the Kaiser decided to unite Germany this was nor a healthy place for 20 something poor males.. so… here we are today..
And they were just like today’s migrants.. changed their names as needed, one of them would get a house and a kizillion of them would live there.. were afraid of government, hid or didn’t volunteer for census.. history repeats itself..
