A growing reality in the land of Academia
Drexel University faces a 1.5 billion shortfall.
Drexel has about 12,000 undergraduate students---but that number is falling as more and more students head south to lower tuition.
Philadelphia already has seen the University of the Arts close in the spring.
This is a broad problem in higher education in private schools, especially in the north.
The consulting company that I worked for after getting my BS in Mechanical Engineering sent me to Drexel to study structural steel design--fully paid by the company
