Anyone know a good forum for diesel trucks anymore. One without all the pissing and moaning about the engine THEY bought...

Hmmm... I'm betting there's some decent ones particular to the model year.
I belong to a Jeep JL Forum which has a Diesel Wrangler sub-forum. Joined it early on 'cause I bought the first Jeep Diesel Wrangler made - which I liked so much that I subsequently bought the last Wrangler Diesel made. Both have, literally, been trouble free. That's rare 'cause Jeeps are known for having poor build quality. They typically rank at the lowest level of quality ratings.

Forums like that are all doom and gloom because only the disgruntled owners post. Happy users rarely post.

Nailed. I'm just there to absorb what I need to know (which Stellantis Corp won't tell us).

Actually looking forward to the two guys in Canada that are putting together diesel electric hybrids. One's working on big rigs (Edison Motors) and the other is works on old trucks (DeBoss Garage).
China actually produces some using a Cat engine and electric motor. Then depending on the truck runs one or two axles with electric motors.
Will be interesting if China buys out Stellantis and brings that over here.

I still have my 2002 Excursion 7.3 with just under 75,000 on it. It's a keeper

Today is un-returnable !
I've been wishing I had not sold my OBS crew cab.... Would be a fun project. Would not want to drive it every day though... The Tremor rides like a dream F250.
Had the 4x4 Diesel Excursion - which was trouble free. It averaged 15 MPG while the gasser was 10 MPG. Loved the 40-gallon fuel tank. It, and my Diesel Wranglers, were the only vehicles I've owned that could make it from SLC to Las Vegas (420 miles) with no fuel stops. The Excursion, due to its weight and footprint, was excellent in snow and ice.

Yeah, I remember filling up and the tab would be $100+, which some stations couldn't process. So, they'd limit the total you could run up.

My 2013 F350 got 8.6 mpg pulling my 5th wheel RV to Louisiana and back last weekend. Of course I wasn't easy on the throttle, so that hurt the mpg badly.
