I just Googled "rita coolidge whiskey whiskey" and came up with an extensive list including free mp-3 downloads.

Thanks Dave,
When you said you Googled I got off my browser and went to Google and found it. Thanks. I still like the Canadian girls version over Rita's.

Here is another song titled Whiskey, Whiskey, Whiskey, which I have on one of John Mayer's albums in his adult phase. The guy is a fantastic musical artist and once he got over the affectations in his singing of his youth, he has matured nicely. He has always been an incredible guitar talent though.

(Incidentally, I don't think that is Mayer in this video, which was not official, but one put together from a fan)

Music might have more of a range of personal value than anything I can think of. While some can be passively in the background, with no connection to my soul, it's just there, soothing, enjoyable but without demands. Some acts as a catalyst in my mind and connects in the most ethereal way, I pull it in and it becomes part of me especially at times that I am in deep thought. Smooth jazz and classical music most often do that to me.
Then there is the occasion when I am pulled into the music--completely. It conveys much more than the sum of its parts and it takes over my soul. This piece is one of those.
I hope you enjoy it.

Yes, music can have a special power and connection to pass feelings and emotion. Below is another in that category...not a dry eye in the house. Kelly Clarkson comes back to American Idol in its final show showing why she was its first winner with a song she wrote about her father who abandon her. Tears were streaming down my face too.

Here's something fun. First, watch this video of the great singer, Della Reese, talking about being mentored by Mahalia Jackson — an incredible voice from my youth — and how she "hated" Mahalia because she was so good.

Then, listen to this one to remember what Malalia was and why Della Reese was in such awe.
