Damn! I wonder if that is repeatable or if it is totally impromptu?

I still think KD Lang stands alone in singing this song---but this version is special in its own right.

An excellent version Dave. However I would vote for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRP8d7hhpoQ . But I am prejudiced and think everything they have done is excellent .

Very nice, I have heard that before. It seems as if most every singer wants to sing a handful of songs---with Hallelujah as one. Others that immediately come to mind are Ave Maria, Nessun Dorma and a host of Christmas Songs.

I have to give honor to the late Leonard Cohen---who truly "owned" Hallelujah and if anyone has not heard JD Lange you owe it to yourself to listen to it.

One more and then I am back to my football game. This is one of my all-time favorites. It was the winter of 1962-63, I was in school at Ft Devens MA and madly in love with the town librarian in Leominster MA. Every weekend we would be at one of our favorite cabarets dancing the night away. The music of the time was romantic and fueled feelings of love in both of us. It was a fantastic winter---the best of my 18 years. My lovely lady thought I was 22 , the same age as she was.

We would dance to this piece and many similar ones almost without moving.

we are different people with different tastes in music. I am more Country and Western than anything else and there are HUGE numbers ao great songs in that genre . However , The [ I M O ] greatest story teller would have to be Marty Robbins . Any one of his songs could be the most memorable but , I will have to say that
[ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBqGH-hTmX8 ] would be my pick for his best offering .

    Try it , you'll like it .

ooPS : I for got to add , Dave be prepared to avert your eyes at the end .

There are so many great Marty Robbins ballads that I couldn't begin to pick a favorite, I just pretty much like 'em all.
