Here is another one that was brought to mind by an ad that is currently running on TV.
    It can happen.
If I remember correctly, Willie wrote that song for her.

I'm sure Bob is thinking of Crazy, one of my favorites.

That's another great one...Seeing Harlan Howard's name earlier reminded me of one of the funniest singer/songwriters anywhere, Don Bowman......Ben

I spent most of my adult life believing Willie had written I Fall To Pieces. That was almost as bad a blow as finding out that there is no Santa Clause year before last.

That's OK, I like Crazy better anyway.

This selection will probably surprise you--- I am in my office today and I normally listen to my music on Amazon in a random selection--so I can go from opera to classical--to pop to things you would never guess---and this one just played..

I have a fair amount of his music

Maybe because we both have/had an affinity for an occasional bourbon

Followed by this. One of many of Henry Mancini's works

...and my last two for the day:

    The Music of the Night.

    and: Moon River.

This probably won't excite the highbrows here, but one of my favorite songs is Otis Redding's Try a Little Tenderness. Below are links to his version and the version by Three Dog Night. Both work wonders for my ears. Flame away......

Otis Redding's version first. This was his last performance the day before he died in a plane crash. His studio version is better, but this was the last.

    Then Three Dog Night:

Used to play that a lot with the headphones on did not want to piss off the neighbors at 3:00 AM when I got off work.

Speaking of Willie (as we often have in this thread), here's one I haven't heard in several years that was uploaded yesterday...I didn't even know there was an accompanying video......Ben

That's why I posted it. The contrast between then and today is amazing.
