    The video description translates to:
Actually, crazy, what can be done with the right technology everything ... At the wheel of Drescherfahrer Rick LU Walther GmbH from Wyssachen mastered the job in Hogerland Emmental sovereign. The wheat in the Almisberg BE was threshed with a modified Deutz-Fahr M35.75 at the family Leuenberger.

That appears to be wheat but could also be rye or barley. The crop in Joe's link is not clear enough to ID--at least for me.

I'll bet you are correct. Wonder how deep that canyon is to have to chase a round bale down? Not that it would last for very long before unwinding.

I also wonder if the machine is self-leveling, or if it requires input from the operator? My guess is self-leveling with operator override.

It is automatic---and it is done not only for stability but for function---if a combine is on too much of a slant it begins to lose grain separation ability.
