So if the dead wood problem was pointed out in January, before anything happened, why did they try to put the blame off by slamming the guy who just repeated what was said in January? Sometimes it is just too easy to see what the agenda is. There needs to be common sense solutions, many were pointed out by TG earlier in this thread, to keep fires from becoming monstrous. Get rid of the dead timber, clean up the brush and cut limbs up higher on the trunks to prevent little fires from becoming bigger. Those solutions might not prevent a fire from happening but it could sure prevent it from burning thousands of acres of land, homes and killing everything in it's path. All of the "endangered" and local animals that live in these forested areas perish when a fire of this magnitude gets rolling.
Of course none of this would have happened if not for corporate greed. A high wind event in Red Flag conditions was forecast. PG&E which has been linked to many of the big fires decided to not de-energize the the high voltage transmission lines in the area ( they don't make money if the consumer isn't consuming) Cal Fire is fairly certain that the origin of the "Camp" fire is where the 14,000KV lines failed
Prior to this they had made a commitment to the PUC that they would shut down lines in those areas when high wind/ high fire danger was forecast. They did not... Now the State is looking at breaking up the company among other legal actions (which include criminal charges against the executives)

Good, I hope that the conglomerate is broken into small pieces and those who suffered through this fire and lost all of their possessions, as well as those who will suffer breathing problems for life, are paid for their loss.
This is how you do it
