I'll pass on that an take my Swan for a cruise...
Back in my single and stupid days, I spotted a beautiful similar but smaller 60’ single mast boat moored in a marina near the coast on Clear Lake within commuter distance to work in Houston. I was so taken with thoughts of living the good life on the boat that I almost bought it until a bright flash of light caught me and I realized I did not know a damned thing about boats other than I hated maintaining the ones I had owned before. One of the best decisions I ever made was running the other way.

My BIL had a sign about boats in his house. It read...
"A boat is a hole in the water you throw money into."
He may have been right.

The only thing that works on an old boat is the owner.
My buddy Mark from the bay area sailed from SF to Hawaii in the late '70's on a ship called the Stone Witch. it was the flagship fro Greenpeace and captained by a guy named Alan Olson.
Strangely there isn't much out there I can find on the Stone Witch. here's a little http://bobbitchin.com/weird-world-of-bob-bitchin/
Alan Olson went on to captain another ship in the bay area, the Matthew Turner, https://callofthesea.org/about-us/ou...atthew-turner/
Mark was one of the crew on the trip and it clearly changed his life. There was no engine on the ship and he said the dead calm in the middle of the ocean is surreal. He also said they got a little nervous when the started getting close to where Hawaii was supposed to be.
I love the song southern cross. So much to do and so little time.

Yeah, you can see weeks with no wind on the crossing to Hawaii.
Hawaii is a great place to get a deal on a sail boat. People bye them in the sates and expect a fun cruise to the islands and by the time they get there they are disenchanted with sailing and sign the boat over to a broker and fly home.
So, have you made that trip? My longest boat rides were a couple of 16 day trips down the Grand Canyon. Not quite the same.

I have made the crossing many years ago on a 48' Cheoy Lee. Beautiful boat but way too much teak for my liking ( maintenance). If i recall correctly it took us about 16 days but we cheated and fired up the 'iron genoa" to push us through the doldrums.
Without the motor we may still be there
Too funny. I did a search and this is the boat. It appears to have made the return journey at some point:

Wish they had interior pics. It was a very roomy and solid boat! For a blue water boat that is
