Is that what he does?...The last time I watched a game Earl Campbell was running back for the Houston Oilers...Then the malicious Bud Adams fired the best coach in the game, Bum Phillips...I lost interest after that......Ben

The crap they come up with, any and everything to prove the white man is a racist or the cause of racism, etc... Tom Brady is one of the best QB's on the planet that's all. Well he is married to a woman with 10's of millions of dollars and she looks good wearing it. Most are jealous I think.
This is your mind on drugs!
I would give the all-time title to Roger Staubach, although he would have serious competition from James Street...I watched every second of The Big Shootout when Street led the Longhorns to victory over the Razorbacks...The greatest football game in history, bar none,,,...Ben

Off the subject — the above reminds me of one of the great put-downs I have ever seen.
In jury trials, while picking juries, the opposing counsel first usually introduce themselves and then tell prospective jurors what they intend to prove before going into each juror’s qualifications. It also starts the process of selling yourself and your case to the jury, which is what trying cases is all about. Many years ago my partner came up against a prominent lawyer on the other side of the case, Marty Akins, who had been the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns shortly after James Street. There were several memorable Texas-Arkansas contests with Akins at quarterback. He had a very high opinion of himself. He could strut sitting down.
Akins represented the plaintiff in the case and got to go first. The first thing out of his mouth to the jurors was, “Hi, I’m Marty Akins representing the plaintiffs. If you recognize me or the name, I was the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns 1972-1975. That won’t unfairly influence any of you, will it?...”
When it came time for my partner to question the jury panel, he opened, “Hello, my name is Don Weitinger, pulling guard for Houston Memorial High School 1957-1959. That won’t unfairly influence any of you, will it?...”
