    New Adult Sized Red Ryder

I never had a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun as a kid. My first BB gun was a Daisy Spittin' Image Winchester 94. In a fit of nostalgia I recently bought two of the Daisy/Winchester '94s, new in the box.

If anyone here dreams of their childhood BB guns, Daisy is now making a Adult Sized Red Ryder. I might get one myself.

I have to confess to suffering from a childhood hurt because i was never aloud to have a BB gun---my father suspected I would get myself in trouble if I had one by shooting targets like song birds. My first gun was a 22 and by then I knew enough to let the song birds alone!

Fast forward about 50 years and I won a gun club raffle---you guessed it--a Daisy Red Rider Everyone thought my excitement was phony---but I right then and there "healed" my childhood hurt.

I am sad to say that while I still have that first BB gun it now lives on the shelf---it seems shooting squirrels at my frequency was a little too much for the little guy

My parents forbade me having one because they knew what a hellion they had as a son, so I got a slingshot on the sly instead (the kind with big rubber bands, not the kind Biblical David slew Goliath with) and promptly took a shot at a passing dove hitting our car window square in the middle, shattering it. I never got a BB gun after that...no slingshot either.

I to was never allowed to own a BB gun because with past experiences using rocks and sticks my mom knew the potential for problems.
