Having spent my youth on the business end of dairy cows I understand the need to milk them---but there is a disconnect in the supply chain when the needs on the retail end are not being met and raw product is being tossed
As for meat---I have read a number of articles of slaughter houses shutting down because of the virus---and they aren't the small producers, these are some of the largest in the country. That said, the spotty supply at my butcher shop began prior to hearing of shutdowns.
