I have conceded to my age, I now shoot a crossbow with a lighted dot scope on it
For open sights I have gone to fiber optic dots on my slug gun, the rear sight has two dots, the front is one which you line up in the middle---it works for me. I no longer had a chance with conventional iron sights.
I should add that I have one 22 with a peep site and that is still perfectly usable with my old eyes.
