Has Jill Biden become the new Nancy Reagan

The only difference is during the actual campaign for president instead of late during his second term when he began to have dementia Reagan that is. There's been two broadcast from Biden's basement where his wife has done all the talking and he stood by and gave that big smile.

In the video of which you speak that I saw, Joe looked like the Charton Heston El Cid character in the movie of the same name in the last scene, where El Cid’s dead body was tied to his horse with a stick up his back and sent through the troops to spur them on in the fight.

    The Biden’s —

    Now, El Cid

One difference — Sino-Joe did not “live & die as the purist knight of them all.”
Joe did manage at the end to flash his big fake choppers just to show he was somewhat alive though.

At the rate Trump is currently self-destructing, yes.

And that scares the hell out of me.

I was thinking recently that the smartest thing that Biden could do was simply stay in his basement and keep his mouth shut---at this point, trump is Biden's bestest friend

The best move for the Democrat Party is for Joe to catch the WuFlu. Three possible outcomes would present —

    1. Joe dies. The party sighs in relief and moves on to someone who can complete a cogent sentence and acts the victim to the hilt or whatever sympathy that is worth. I can see the memes now: Trump killed Joe and 75,000 other people when he invited Covid-19 in.
    2. Joe recovers as well as possible. The party moves on and presents Joe as a resolute survivor with an experience and greater knowledge plus resolve to confront the great pandemic; in essence he would be cast as their war hero...a super campaign poster. He would be unbeatable unless Trump catches it and survives too.
    3. Joe survives but is left further impaired. This would be the most problematic of situations for the party movers, yet it would provide a reason to dump the old hack and put in their guy/gal, while evoking sympathy for their fallen hero. Joe could hardly refuse to go.

Would anyone in the party act to impart such a scenario? Are any Democrats so callous as to embark on such a plan? Answer: they just plotted and activated a wide-ranging scheme to first cast a sitting president from the other party as a Russian traitor, and then impeach him for what he didn’t say, when that failed spectacularly. They have no trouble finding people up for anything.

Joe some people just got it and you got it. I could not imagine Joe Biden trying to manage this crisis. The true fact of the matter is the Trump haters are never going to stop I've resigned myself to the fact that the election is already set all we can do is go vote our conscious and not going on a Fool's mission and writing someone in.

If anyone thinks either candidate will be good for America they are delusional. America is screwed. We are screwed.

Neither of these candidates have anything to offer that will help us through the next four years. Both of them are suffering from the sad decline that affects so many of our older populace. Neither of them are really likely to complete their full term, so we need to consider which of their running mates we would prefer in the White House.

Biden has not yet announced who that might be, but I can assure you that person will not be someone I would like to see running the country. So, I am back to Trump. I think Pence will be a do nothing place holder, and that is a lot better than anything the dems might put up.

    Damn, but we are screwed!

    Might I add: "again"

    Added in edit:

    From today's NYT briefing:
The 2020 race: Representative Justin Amash, the Republican-turned-independent from Michigan, said that he would explore running for president as a Libertarian. It was unclear how his candidacy could affect the race, and specifically whether he would help or hinder President Trump’s re-election.

I think it would be another Perot-type split for Republicans - thus contributing to a Democratic win.

I agree, trump's cult is bound to him no matter how bad it gets.

Justin Amash appears to be to the right of Trump, and his cozying up to the Libertarian Party would confirm that. He would not appeal to many Never Trumpers in that position, who are mostly swampers at their core, nor any Democrats. To think he would ever rival Perot in voters has to be shear fantasy. Amash is a far outlier and will remain so. I could not pick him out of crowd.

What we do not see coming at this time is a third party attraction on the Left like last time with Green Party’s Jill Stein who can fairly be argued to have turned the election to Trump by drawing disaffected Sanders zealots...who once again are making noises making the Democrats quiver. I put Amash more in the Gary Johnson pest category, who was the Libertarian candidate.

If Sanders had any balls he would have run third-party since he was an independent anyway. But he's nothing more than a democratic hack himself
