    This episode needs more exposition, but it looks from this report to be an example of what happens when a mob takes it upon itself to “investigate,” prosecute, and punish the wrong people, while simultaneously fighting the responding police. One house burned out and three in the crowd shot randomly by someone in the mob...

    Is this what Democrats mean by their new “reimagining the police” meme they are all parroting in unison to obscure their true desire to destroy the police, just when “defunding the police” was being recognized for the move to destroy the police that it is? Look for the term “reimagine” to mark those who would remove your protection from the mobs. Anything to appease their hordes of degenerate constituents in return for votes! You have to wonder what back room Lefty pack of power brokers and wordsmiths texted out that abstruse and deceptive term to the troops for it to become their word of the day.

    Hoffman took her oath of office with her hand on a children's book. That could be called gimmicky, I suppose, but I appreciated the symbolism. She was swearing an oath to serve the students, to put their needs foremost. Most teachers make a similar oath to themselves every year before the first day of school. It was a promising start.

    There was no symbolism involved in Hoffman's strong stance against the Arizona law stating that sex education courses can't say anything positive about what the law calls "a homosexual life-style." Referring to it as the "no promo homo law" in her State of Education speech, Hoffman said the policy is "outdated . . . harmful and wrong."

    The law may have been on the way out regardless. The board of education was facing a suit over the statute, and Attorney General Mark Brnovich said he wouldn't come to its defense. The board of education voted unanimously against it, then in April the legislature repealed the law. Whether or not Hoffman's aggressive stance on the topic moved votes, her full-throated condemnation of the old law helped clarify the issue and boost it into statewide prominence.

    To put an exclamation point on why we would castigate Austin for those that do not know Texas, the wack-a-zoids that run their city counsel just voted to crater the police budget and the 911 phone call center. In response, the governor is proposing a state bill that would freeze any local property tax rates forever of any such city which “defunds” its police department. Zap! Take that Lefty creeps and criminals!

    I guess they must think I'm an extremely agitated old soul...I have this ingrained habit of ending sentences with three periods...It carried over when I learned how to text last year...No wonder the young women always give me the evil eye, they think I'm mad at someone......Ben

    I'm not going to take a claim by the NY Post as something I need to incorporate into my life. Beyond that I question the accuracy of their claim.

    Before you rip your "period" button off you might want to read this. I sense it is not as onerous as the claims put forth by the NYP.

    I should add that this apparently is only news to the Post and us since the linked article is 10 months old. If I have failed to enrage everyone with my periods up till now---I'm going to keep using them
